A field guide for school health clubs
The Performance Improvement through Learning on Sanitation (PILS) project in Uganda has compiled a short step-by-step guide on setting up a school health club. This guide also includes experiences on strengthening the school health clubs with the aim to roll them out to other schools in the region.
ECOSAN experience in Kanyipa Primary School, Uganda
A case study from a school in Northern Uganda which describes how four ECOSAN toilets, built by AMREF, turned around a bad hygiene and sanitation situation. Thanks to these toilets open defecation was reduced, school attendance increased and the school also gained a source of income from the toilet by-products.
